Mission: Not All Changes Are Welcome.
Location: Sick Bay, Chief of Medical Office
Timeline: Current

Attending the Surgical Suite on the Dreadnought had Gavin busy as usual. Engrossed in supplies reports, transferring staff, and the incoming team had to be reviewed and signed off. Ross had made a note to sit down and speak to his incoming staff members.

Leaning back at his Chief of Medical desk seated comfortably, Ross’s blue sneakers were seen on the top of the desk. Long since had decorum passed at this time of the day and this level of scrutiny of new incoming staff.

Reviewing each crew member, their service history, their backgrounds, their aspirations for serving in Medical, he had felt he had done his best he could. He ensured that the incoming staff had the appropriate knowledge, expertise, experience, and departmental designations. Calvin had signed off on his last meeting with Ensign Reymar.

“Thank you, Ensign. That was a thorough explanation of your Mitolindrea LAR Extension Parathometer.” Ross could barely keep his eyes open after reading through the bright but oh so incredibly tediously boring analysis of a .21 threshold of Parathometer data regression sets.

The Andorian Ensign had cocked his head slightly to the side. “If you wish to continue this discussion, I would be more than happy to offer you my Academy Thesis Introduction and Summarization Lecturn. It is a four-part ser-“

As soon as Ross had learned there was a continuation of a four-part lecture on this Ensign’s medical thesis work in Starfleet, his body had jolted to reality, more of fright wanting of flight.

A gasp for air was heard as Ross uprighted his chair from a comforted, almost sleeping sag. “What professor presided over your studies in Macro Degeneration Analytic Processesors Assay?” Ross was interested as he wondered who could have possibly marked, graded, and reviewed the Ensigns findings.

“Professors G’Lora and Henessy. Of ..” The Andorian provided the information furthering his delight in the discussion.

“Yes, Yes. Of course.” Ross had almost felt his eyes bulge outward. “Wonderful professors, a bit staunch on Hyper Metrics.” Gavin had checked his silver wristwatch.

“Please meet with the team department CO on your positional requirements,” Ross added.

“Of course, Doctor.” Ensign Reymar had bowed his head, blue bald and striking in the light as he did. “Shall I leave you with the report if you wish further reading?” The Andorian had offered.

Not wanting to shut down the Ensign, Gavin had politely nodded. A faked smile plastered on his face. “Thank you. I appreciate that.” Gavin was thinking. This would be an excellent read… When I need to sleep, and my Xanax has worn off.

“Until next time. I will see you around Ensign. Please, if you have any questions any issues at all. My office is an open door policy.” Gavin had stood up, seeing the Ensign out.
