Welcome to the USS Dreadnought!

Welcome to the USS Dreadnought - B, a Valkyrie Class Starship under the command of the Commanding Officer, Commodore Hood. The Dreadnought hopes to continue with interesting missions, high activity and a friendly crew, it's guaranteed that once you step on board, you will be welcomed and make many a new friend.

With spaces on board still waiting to be filled, we the crew are confident that we have something that interests you be it Science, Security, Tactical, or even the found to be popular Fighter Squadrons. If you fancy being a part of a family, being a member of an active team and crew, then fill in the join form, and we look forward to seeing you on board.

Having passed its 13th year of running the Dreadnought remains strong and active well on its way towards its 14th year of activity. It is the hope of myself and the crew that more people join in the fun and add yet more to already open and varied missions. All activity is on a forum which contains not just mission posts and activity but also Out of Character (OOC) input.

The Dreadnought is a 18+ Play By Nova style simm.

Signed,

Commodore William Hood
Commanding Officer, USS Dreadnought

Greetings to the crew of the USS Dreadnought.

As a member of Pegasus Fleet Admiralty and as the Task Force Commanding Officer for the USS Dreadnought, it is with a great amount of pleasure and pride that I relay this message from the Pegasus Fleet Commanding Officer.

Hello @everyone,

I have a special announcement. I'd like to give a huge congratulations to one of our commanding officers and Pegasus Fleet Executive Officer, Vice Admiral S'iraa.

As Captain William Hood, he has led the USS Dreadnought sim for fourteen years, which celebrates its birthday on November 7.

Along with Captain Hood, five other members of his crew; Mark Bawden, Jack Frost, Zan Luthar, Xavier Patrovski, and Ayla Bawden; have been with the sim since the beginning.

That kind of longevity deserves to be recognized, and so each of them will be granted the Meritorious Service Award. This new award will be given to players who have surpassed 10 years of consecutive service on a single sim.

In recognition of Captain Hood's accomplishment, on behalf of the Pegasus Fleet Admiralty I hereby promote him to Fleet Captain.

Congratulations to Fleet Captain Hood and the USS Dreadnought for their impressive run so far, and for many more years to come!

Congratulations to all of you who have made this sim the success that it is. Your efforts are not unnoticed and we are all very proud of your accomplishments. Here's to many years ahead.

Happy Simming

Rear Admiral Niamh Devane
Pegasus Fleet Admiralty

Hi All,

So I've been a little behind in my tasks on the Dreadnought because of my recovery. Its been a little rough, ups and downs as expected but I'm slowly catching up.

A belated welcome to Lieutenant Amélie D'Aramitz who has taken it upon herself to take up the task of looking out for our mental well being as Chief Counselor. Considering most of you have been on the simm for over 12 years now she will have her hands full or I've not tried hard enough to kill everyone...I'm working on that.

Next is our newest member, Lieutenant JG Tavana Daughter of Kretorg. Taking up the mantle of Chief Intelligence Officer. I know we have been without one for some time so I'm glad to have one especially with this mission now underway.

Please try not to scare them away, pretty sure Tavana will bite back if you guys try anything.

Just realised that in 5 months the Dreadnought will be 14 years old. Talk about accomplishment.

Oh last thing, site updates are coming to reflect the change of class, I know the header still has the old class but I'm working with people to change it. You don't want me doing it because I break things.

Regards

Steve

» Fleet Post of the Month

Hello One and All,

It's a pleasure to announce that one of our posts has been voted on and seen to be the winner of Pegasus Fleet post of the Month for March 2019.

Mark, our Chief Tactical Officer write a very touching post "Lost, But Never Forgotten" which continues the plot line developed between Ayla and Mark surrounded the loss of their daughter, Marcie.

The post can be found here: https://ussdreadnought.com/index.php/sim/viewpost/350

I myself have been following the plots these two talented players have been creating between each other for the last 10 years, remembering from where they started to where they are now and the ups and downs in between.

I hope to see more of our posts being selected as the fleets post of the month.

Congratulations Mark

» Double the Good News

Hello One and All.

Two pieces of good news. I waited on one of them so I could announce both together. The first is we have a new crew member. Lt. Rebecca Sandoval, will be taking up post as our new Chief of Operations.

Already off to a good start hammering out some content for us to read and contributing to others.

Welcome to the Dreadnought, don't worry, not all of us bite....sort of.

The second....

Yesterday the Dreadnought turned 13 years old. Over that time we have gone from mission to mission, plots, sub plots, the occasional torture, abduction and maybe a few crew injuries. However what's important is that people are here to add to it, create something and watch it grow. Many have been with the Dreadnought since it started, some joined after and some are recent additions. Regardless of how long you have been on board I'd like to hand on heart say thank you to everyone for putting up for all the evil things I put you through enough to stay.

I would say there is cake in 10 Forward but we all know the cake is a lie, that...and Dr Patrovski will no doubt put us all on food plans...aka diets.

Thank you all.

» Belated Notification - New Crewmember

Posted on Sat Sep 22nd, 2018 @ 5:32pm by Fleet Captain William Hood in General News

Hello one and all,

A belated notification to all, the reason behind that is because I've injured myself in true no half effort style, torn two ankle ligaments, hospitals, xrays, CT's, rehab etc. I'm broken.

We have a new addition to our crew, a Lt. Tara Lithbeth, she has decided to take on the daunting challenge of seeing to our mental health as our Chief Counsellor. Assuming those that have served on the Dreadnought for over a decade have any left.

Ease her into things, no need to scare her off too early with the horrors I have inflicted upon you all in one go, I'll get round to her myself eventually with some horrible scheme I can think up.

In any case, welcome to the Dreadnought, we are happy to have you and just remember that tickets to the mad house are on the left past the door.

In another note, soon the simm will be 13 years old. Yeah I know, scary huh? November 7th is the day, so be there, or be what every horrible torture planned thing I can come up with....no pressure.

Regards

Steve
